More than just pricing

Most of the time we make decision based only or mostly on price and we should not do this since it often has grave consequences.

When I buy knives I spend more money on them rather than the cheap 17 dollar knife because a Spiderco or Benchmade knife will hold an edge. If you cannot afford one of those more expensive brands a person settles for say a Gerber which is also a great knife. The same advice applies to guns, cars, construction materials and more.

When people want a security system often they look for a package deal with their cable TV package and I tell people it is like buying a sandwich from your plumber.
