Insurance requirements for Alarms
Often insurance companies require the following:
Professionally designed alarm system for fire, security, water leak protection and temp sensors.
Protect doors and windows
Smoke detectors not smoke alarms (Smoke detectors are tied to your alarm system and dispatch fire department)
Temp sensors alert you to low temperatures before your pipes freeze
Heat detectors in the attic and crawl spaces normally set at 190 or 194 and personally I prefer rate of rise heat detectors
Water sensors can be installed anywhere water would be likely to leak such as rooms like laundry rooms or rooms where you have your water heater and also crawl spaces.
If you are more concerned with security for when you are gone we may just install perimeter door contacts and trap motion detectors although if you are concerned with security while you are home we will install glass break detection, door contacts, status switches on your windows and sensors on any rooms where you store your high dollar items or guns.
Peak Alarm will provide you with an insurance certificate listing what protection you have and often you will be able to receive a discount on your insurance. Peak Alarm owns a local UL listed Monitoring station as well as a local Guard Patrol Division, AV Division and our Alarm Division with 6 offices and we have been in business for over 52 years.

Peak Alarm is not the low cost solution when compared to other alarm companies although often those companies will use third party companies for guard and monitoring so you end up dealing with 3 companies instead of one. If you have a CONTROL 4 system Peak can integrate that into your alarm system.
Smoke Detectors should not be installed in the kitchen area
Peak can also offer you home automation options such as controlling your thermostats, garage door control, lighting control, doorbell cameras, cameras to allow you to see around the outside of your home and more.
