Insurance requirements
Quite often, insurance companies will require Security, Fire, Temperature Sensors and Flood Sensors on a Home System in order to provide insurance to customers.
In areas like Park City Utah and Heber Utah often the homes have a fire sprinkler system, when this is the case it is recommended that we monitor the FLOW switch so when water begins to flow the dispatch center will notify the fire department.
TEMPERATURE SENSORS: When the home drops below 41 degrees our dispatch will notify the owner or the property management company so they can get someone there to get the heat back on before the pipes freeze.
FLOOD SENSORS : If you wait too long then when the frozen pipes thaw you will end up with a flood condition.
Often we install water/flood sensors in restrooms, laundry rooms, under the home and in rooms where the water heater is as well as below kitchen sinks. Flooding can cause quite a bit of damage so mitigation is recommended by installing water and temperature sensors.
Often owners will have a plumber install a system that can shut the water system off when there is a flood condition and Peak Alarm can monitor these system as well.
We also install SMOKE and CO sensors so you end up with a complete system for SECURITY, FLOOD, FIRE, TEMPERATURE.
