Sayings and scriptures that give comfort
Christians find peace in Bible verses and they believe Jesus Christ is our savior and by accepting his sacrifice we can be healed of our grief and forgiven of our sins and that we can resurrect after death. These doctrines bring hope to the people.
Let’s start with a few verses from the Bible that may give believers hope and comfort:
He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. Revelation 21:4
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3
Now when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, and he began to teach them. He said: Blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:1-3

Jews find comfort in their scriptures many of which are from the old testament books they believe were written by God and given to Moses and the prophets.

Muslims look to the Koran / Quran scriptures they believe were given to Mohammad directly by God .

Mormons or LDS people now ask to be called members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints believe in the Bible but also have several other books they believe to be given to them by God through revelation to modern prophets.
