Geo fencing and Security Systems
Peak Alarm integrates Geo-Fencing into their operations
Geo-fencing and Security Systems
A new feature called geo-fencing will allow you to have your alarm system automatically arm, lights turn on or off, and adjust the temperature on your heating and cooling system all when the last cell phone tied to your security system leaves a specific area around your home. We don’t incorporate features like disarming your system or anything that could compromise the alarm system.
Examples:
When you get home the system recognizes that your cell phone has entered the geo-fence and it can turn the lights on, adjust temperature etc...
When you leave your home the system recognizes that your cell phone has left the geo-fence area and it can close the garage door, lock the doors, adjust the temperature, turn the lights on or off and arm your security system.
Geo-fencing with Guard/Patrol
Peak Alarm also uses geo-fencing so that we can make sure that our patrol accounts get patrolled at specific times. There is a geo-fencing map that our employees and our customers can see and when their address appears in green it means the patrol car has already patrolled their facility. If the address flag turns yellow it alerts the guards that they need to get to these locations. As soon as their vehicle gets to the facility the flag will turn from yellow to green on the computer MAP.
If the flag turns red that indicates that our Patrol offices only have an hour to get to that location and it becomes critical. Before we had geo-fencing we were not able to keep track of it like we do now. We also have a map that shows all of our patrol vehicles and where they are at any given moment.
