Fire Alarm Divisions Sections in Specifications

Fire Alarm specifications have different sections or divisions so when you are reading the specification book you will find sections or divisions on plumbing, HVAC, Electrical and fire alarm.

The Fire Alarm contractors bid to the Electrical Contractors which in turn bid to the General Contractors and depending on how it is set up the Generals will bid to an architect or directly to an owner.

These specifications should be specific to the project although often people cut and paste specifications from other projects that they have done before so we even have engineers using very old specifications telling us that for extra equipment they want us to provide 6 VHS tapes for the training videos so specifications need to be updated from time to time. Here at Johnson Controls we are happy to help with that process so the engineers can use a new specification. Call Larry Love at the number below and he can make an appointment to go over your specification and suggest changes or updates.
