Interactions with Peak Alarm over the phone

Any trouble on an alarm system can be the first sign of a genuine alarm.

If you do not want to be called in the middle of the night for troubles you can indicate that in writing and we will respect those wishes.

  1. A trouble on the panel can be an indication that wires have been cut, that the AC power has been turned off and someone may be trying to set the system up for a breakin or you may just need service on the panel like the Engine light on your car. .

  2. If you do not want to be notified if the trouble happens again within the same day or night please tell the dispatcher that.

  3. We have had burglars cut wires on a system which causes troubles and after they do that they break in thinking they have defeated the system by cutting the wires. If you still have your system on a normal phone line I would suggest you get a cell or a radio so cutting wires does not defeat the system.

  4. Our dispatchers are obligated by law to call you on things like low batteries especially if you have smoke detectors which are life safety systems that may depend on the batteries when the AC fails. If you do not want us to call you during the night you can put in specific instruction to that effect.

  5. We were told not to call a grocery manager in the middle of the night and they lost over 10,000 dollars in Meat and Ice Cream because we had those instructions on file.
