Sayings and scriptures that give comfort

Christians find peace in Bible verses and they believe Jesus Christ is our savior and by accepting his sacrifice we can be healed of our grief and forgiven of our sins and that we can resurrect after death. These doctrines bring hope to the people.

Let’s start with a few verses from the Bible that may give believers hope and comfort:

He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. Revelation 21:4

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18

Now when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, and he began to teach them. He said: Blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:1-3

But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace. was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
