Electric Strike locks

Fail Secure Electric Door Strikes will stay locked when the power goes out. Fail Safe Electric Door Strikes will unlock when the power goes out. Continuous Duty Electric strikes will last longer than typical strikes and are often used on doors that will be unlocked during certain hours and lock on a timer or doors that are being accessed and used all the time. If they are energized for several hours a day as unlocked you need continuous duty strikes and they do cost more but will last longer. Strikes have moving parts so they will wear out faster than a magnetic lock but when maglocks are used they have to a a request to exit motion or button or both.
