Johnson Controls monitors systems worldwide

When you research fire alarm companies you will find that often the low bidders get the project and when contractors take the low bid many times there are issues.

It is prudent to install top of the line Simplex Fire Alarm Systems and have the equipment inspected and tested each year to assure it is working has it should be.

Often when an incident occurs insurance companies will look for a way out of paying so if the phone lines were not working they can argue the fact and say the owner should have had activate phone lines. If the system was not working they will also argue. Having your system tested and certified with a green tag is the smart thing to do. Make sure you have the batteries changed out every 3-5 years depending on the type of batteries. We have larger systems with batteries that will last around 7 years so make sure to date them and talk to your fire alarm company and have them tested regularly. Johnson Control Fire Protection has engineers and NICET techs to help you with the best design and installation. Keep in mind that fire alarm systems should be changed out every 15 years or so with new technology. We have a system we are going to change out at a police station and the system is 26 years old which is five generations behind our current technology. They wanted to add to the system and the system was maxed out and very old. Getting 26 years out of a system is great although plan your budget to do it sooner so you can rest assured you have a safe building.
