Peak Alarm is not always low bid and there are reasons
Low bid companies often forget to include professional device placement, lift rental, proper cable, penetrations, fire caulking material, junctions in boxes rather than just taping the wire together, proper insurance such as liability, workers compensation and auto insurance. Our administrative office sent out an email yesterday and this is part of that email.

A couple of weeks ago I sent an email to the department managers reminding them about DOPL renewals.
This is just a reminder to everyone to make sure you getyour DOPL license renewed BEFORE MARCH 31, 2015.
Anyone without a current license will not be allowed to work, (this is a condition of employment with Peak and is in the handbook)!
Licenses take some time to come back, so make sure you plan accordingly.

Professional companies normally are not low bidders all the time but things like insurance and licensing are not optional but mandatory.
When low bidders cut corners on some of these items other things have to suffer and so they look for other ways to cut corners or save money and often they cut corners on important things.
"You get what you pay for" in the long run it is prudent to get it done right the first time.
